Accessories for real-time meters
The HAN-port adapters make MeterMate compatible with different electricity meters and installation environments. The adapters transmit both power and real-time data from the electricity meter and are used together with MeterMate's Wi‑Fi and LoRaWAN configurations.
The right adapter lets the same real-time meter be used across your entire meter fleet without special solutions for each installation.
HAN port – the interface for real-time data
MeterMate connects to the electricity meter's communication port (HAN). For the real-time meter to receive power and read data, the electricity meter's HAN port must be enabled by the grid owner.
The adapters act as an intermediary between the electricity meter and the real-time meter and:
supply MeterMate with power
transmit measurement data in real time
ensure correct electrical and mechanical connection
The HAN port is standard on most modern electricity meters and enables access to measurement data in real time. This makes the installation robust and independent of external power supply.

RJ45 adapter – standard for HAN port
The RJ45 adapter is used with electricity meters that have a standardized HAN port (RJ45). It is connected with the supplied RJ45 cable and connected onwards to the real-time meter via the meter's cable and RJ12 connector.

Kamstrup adapter – tailored for Kamstrup electricity meters
The Kamstrup adapter is developed for the Kamstrup Omnipower electricity meter and is mounted directly into the meter's communication port. The adapter ensures correct mechanical and electrical connection. It snaps into place without any cabling.
